Portland and old buddies in Eugene...

In Portland we stopped to visit Grandpa and Grandma Dec. Grandpa Dec was so excited to show us his garden, and Kyra got to pick some snow peas.

While we were in Eugene Bryce and I were able to stop and say hi to some old buddies! We forgot to get a picture with our good friends Kyra and Ben, so hopefully we'll remember next time.

Eugene and Florence Oregon...

This weekend we traveled across Oregon to see some of our favorite spots. Our main stop was Eugene to stay with Pam (Bryce's Dad's Father's Sister's Daughter, AKA Grandma Pam). Bryce lived with her during his first year of law school. In Eugene we used to hike Spencer's Butte, so we made sure to take Kyra. On Saturday we went to Florence and hiked our favorite trail. The Hobbit Trail leads from the highway to the beach about 10 miles north of Florence. The Trail is only about half a mile long, but we like it because it leads to a great beach that not too many people know about. We also checked out the Sea Lions Caves, it was amazing! We'll finish up our trip in Portland to see Grandma and Grandpa Dec, so more pictures to come soon!

Once we reached the top we had fun taking pics of Kyra...

Kyra's first BIRTHDAY!!!

Kyra turned one on May 13th. Her birthday was in the middle of the week, so we decided to have her party a few days later on Saturday. We had a BBQ at the park with family and friends. It was a great success, and we could not have asked for better weather. Kyra had a lot of fun playing, eating, opening presents, and detroying her very own gigantic cupcake. Thanks to all those who came and made her birthday so special! (and yes, Lindy did make the cup cake, she is extremely gifted in the art of high fashion cup cakery :))

Some friends in our ward, the Robertson's invited a bunch of couples in the ward to their house for a Cinco De Mayo party! Everyone brought a mexican dish, yum yum! We brought spicy enchiladas, for some they were a little too spicy, oops! It was a fun filled night with yummy food, great company, and a pinata too! Thanks for an awesome party Colin and Tonya!
