Later on I was able to meet up with a dear friend of mine who was in town from Michigan. We went to dinner at Chili's, and talked and talked and talked! Everytime I get together with Chandra it's as if no time has passed and we pick up right where we left off. Her husband Jordan graduates this December and I sure hope they find their way back to Boise. Thanks for a great night Chandra, it was great seeing you again!

Fun at the Zoo and Dinner at Chili's!!!
Kyra and I went to the Boise Zoo today! Because the Ellsworth reunion is right around the corner a lot of family are in town, so we met up with a lot of Kyra's cousins. We all had a blast together. Kyra had NO fear while at the zoo, by herself she touched a snake. At the Zoo Farm she kept picking up food others had dropped and would walk right up to the goats and feed them, the goats licked her hands and face and she did not care at all. Overall the zoo was a fun experience for Kyra. I think next year we will get a family pass.

Girls night!!!
Each month my girlfriends and I get all our families together to have dinner and chit chat. Between everyone's busy schedule, there were no nights in July that worked for everyone to come, so we decided to make it girls night instead, yeah! April hosted this month and decided to order takeout from our favorite chinese restaurant, Yen Ching. Three of us worked there back in the day and Ann visited often, so it was like she worked there too. We all had a wonderful night hanging out together. I love my girls!

Paddle Boats, Ducks, and Geese
Today at lunch we picked up Bryce at the court house and went over to the park to ride on the paddle boats. It worked out great, the park is only a block from the court house, so we rented a paddle boat for 30 minutes, and ate lunch together. Kyra loved the ride and enjoyed watching the ducks and geese follow us around the pond. One of her words right now is "duck" so she got to practice it a lot today. We all had a great time together!

Whip It!!!
Has anyone ever seen the movie Whip It? The movie is about a roller derby team, the Hurl Scouts and their adventure at trying to win a game. I thought it was a good movie.

A couple weeks ago Bryce told me he had a co-worker who was on a roller derby team here in Boise. She asked Bryce if we were interested in going to a game, so we went Saturday night. We had a great time and learned what roller derby was all about. We sat in the front row on the floor where they were skating, and a couple of times had to move quickly so we would not get hit. The scoring was a bit confusing at first, but we started to understand as time went on. Overall it was a fun experience.

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Friday night Bryce and I went to two movies, How to Train Your Dragon and Iron Man 2, both were great movies. Other than the drive-in I can't recall a time I went to two movies in a row, it was a lot of fun. Thanks Brady for watching Kyra!
Saturday morning we packed the car up and headed to Marcing to play and relax with my family for the rest of the weekend. We stopped at Golden Corral for their yummy breakfast buffett, it was delicious. Once we arrived in Marcing Bryce set up camp, the teepee that he used with his family growing up. Saturday night was the 4th of July celebration in Marcing. In the park, a band played 60's music, everyone including Kyra was having a blast. Once it was dark enough the firework show started, and like always it was awesome.
Other things we did while in Marcing included watching movies, playing games, going to Given's Hot Springs, eating great food, roasting marshmellows for smores, shooting off fireworks, and hiking Jump Creek. Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful weekend, we look forward to next year.
