St. Patrick's Day!

This last Thursday in preschool Kyra had fun celebrating and learning all about St. Patrick's Day. Each child wore green, they danced and sang silly songs, played games, and ate leprechaun food [Apple Jacks cereal]. They also made leprechaun masks for their art project, super cute. Mrs. Wall sent each child home with a little black pot filled with sparkly jewels in hopes to catch a leprechaun. Kyra has carried her black pot everywhere with her since she received it, but NO leprechaun yet. She LOVES preschool and learning new fun things each day.

On St. Patrick's Day we had a green pancake feast for breakfast, the kids wore green to church, and we had a yummy pot roast dinner with rolls and green jello. Overall it was a fun day.

Kyra's 1st Primary Talk...

Kyra was asked to give her first talk in Primary today, she was sooooo excited. She practiced at home before church several times. Miles was a willing participant to act as her "audience" while practicing. At church Kyra did a wonderful job on her talk, Bryce and I were so proud of her. I can't believe my little Kyra is old enough to give talks in Primary, crazy. We love you Kyra.

I Have Been Sent to Earth to Gain a Body and to Learn

When we lived in Heaven we were all Spirits.
Heavenly Father loves us very much.
He wanted us to be like him.
Here on Earth we get to have a body.
We get to live with our families, meet new friends, and do fun things, like play with friends, go swimming, and play with toys.
We also learn to Choose the Right, be nice, and share.
When we Choose the Right, it makes us and Heavenly Father happy.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Celebrating Valentine's Day is so fun with kids. Starting February 1st the kids and I had a blast doing the 14 days of Valentine's for Bryce. Each day Bryce would get home from work to find the kids right there all excited to give him his Valentine, but even more excited for him to share it with them. Each Valentine was some kind of  treat we knew Bryce would love along with a fun saying.

Valentines Day morning the kids woke up early and found goodies on the table for each of them, they were so happy and enjoyed the goodies all day long. We enjoyed a pancake feast before taking Kyra to preschool. Kyra could hardly wait to go to preschool this morning because she knew they were having a Valentine's Day party. She had a so much fun making a Valentine holder, passing out Valentines to her friends, playing games, and wearing their crowns they made earlier in the week.
After preschool the kids and I had fun going to Mimi's house and Papa's work to give them them a Valentine with some chocolates. Earlier in the week they gave Grandma a Valentine too.
After running around for most of the afternoon we picked up a heart shaped pizza at Papa Murphey's to enjoy for dinner. Super tasty. Overall we had a great Valentine's Day together.

Going to the Dentist...

This month in preschool Kyra has been learning all about good hygiene. For some hands on learning her preschool class went on a field trip to the dentist. The dentist talked all about taking care of teeth the healthy way. The kids each got a goody bag that included a toothbrush/toothpaste, floss, McDonald's coupon, and Papa Murphey's coupon. Kyra has never been to the dentist before, but I think she is now ready for her first appointment. She had an absolute blast.

Bryce and I thought it would be fun to take the kids bowling at Westy's. My dad, my sister [Lexie] and her kids joined us too. The cousins bowled on one lane, and the adults bowled on another. We had a great time together. After we enjoyed a frosty at Wendy's, so yummy.
