Turning 30...

I can't believe I am 30, crazy! I sure felt special this year, my birthday was celebrated with family and friends a few different times.

About a week before my birthday I went to The Cheesecake Factory with my best girlfriends, Ann, April, and Kristy. We had a great time doing what we do best, chit chatting, laughing, and eating good food. Thanks girls for a fun night! Do you LOVE the random waiter in the background of our picture?

Saturday morning (a few days before my actual birthday) I went yard saling with my mom and sister. My mom at the beginning forewarned me she needed to be back home to her house by 11:15 for a church activity, therefore she needed to drop me back off by 11:00. All morning we kept track of the time so my mom would not be late for her church activity. We had a great morning looking for good deals. At our last yard sale (one we were going to pass due to time) I found a desk, yeah! I have been looking and looking to buy a desk for quite sometime, so this was by far the best yard sale of the morning for me. When we arrived at my house, my mom and sister helped me carry some things in I had purchased. I was so excited to tell Bryce about the desk, but when I opened the door I looked up and saw a bunch of family and friends shouting "SURPRISE"! I could not believe it, Bryce threw a surprise party for me, and I had absolutely NO clue. I hear my reaction was pretty funny, I opened the door and was so alarmed I started to close the door because it kinda scared me, haha! We had a big breakfast feast that included pancakes, sausage/bacon, and fruit. It was sooooo yummy, I LOVE breakfast foods. My birthday cake was a fruit pizza, it was delicious. I had a great time celebrating with my family and friends.

Bryce decided to give me my birthday present that morning. He handed me five different pictures on individual pieces of paper and told me to figure out the puzzle.

Did you guess it? The puzzle when put in the right order read Shakespeare Festival Tickets. Bryce bought us tickets to the Shakespeare Festival this summer. We get to see three different shows, I'm so excited! Thanks Bryce for making my birthday so awesome, I love you so much!

My actual birthday (Monday) Bryce took the day off from work. We spent the day running errands and getting things done. We then had a late lunch/early dinner at Red Robin. We love that restaurant, so tasty.

The day after my birthday I went to dinner with some great friends from church. We went to Chili's, yummy. Thanks girls for a fun night, I had a great time!

The weekend came and I was lucky to have a date night with my hubby. We went to Tucano's, saw The Hunger Games, and enjoyed u-swirl together. The food was delicious, the movie was awesome, and the frozen yogurt was perfect. We had a great night together alone with no kiddos.

Thank you to EVERYONE who made my birthday spectacular, I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life!

Celebrating Miles' Birthday...

We all had a great time celebrating Mile's first birthday. I feel so blessed to have this little mister be apart of our family, he makes me smile EVERY single day.

Miles' birthday started out at the Doctor's office for his year check-up. Miles is right on track developmentally, yeah! He was a good sport getting his shots too. Miles was totally cheesing it with the Doctor, so I took a picture. So cute!

After visiting the Doc we went to the zoo. Bryce met us there during his lunch hour since his work is across the street from the zoo. We all had so much fun together. We could not have asked for better weather, it was a gorgeous day. The kiddos loved the zoo, and had fun cruising around looking at all the animals.

On Friday we had a birthday party for Miles with lots of family. The theme of his party (inspired by Pinterest) was The Very Hungry Caterpillar because he LOVES to eat eat eat. If your familiar with this children's book the caterpillar experiences eating different foods each day during the week. We served ALL those foods at the party. We had a fruit platter with apples, pears, plums, strawberries, and oranges. There was also chocolate cake, ice cream, pickles, Swiss cheese, salami, lollipops, cherry pie, sausage, cupcakes, watermelon candy, AND lettuce. There was definitely a variety of foods to eat. Miles had a blast eating his very own chocolate cake. We sang happy birthday to him and he had already dug in before I could even light the candle, it was so funny. Miles did not take a nap earlier in the day, but was thankfully in a great mood the entire time.

As mentioned before we all had a great time celebrating Miles' first birthday. We LOVE you Miles, Happy Birthday!

Miles' First Haircut...

Miles turns one this week, crazy! He's had quite the busy week so far with various appointments, one being his very first haircut. Miles did awesome getting his haircut, NO crying or whining at all. He was definitely curious at times, especially when the clippers came out. There were a couple moments it tickled and he could not stop laughing, it was pretty cute. It's amazing how different he looks after a simple haircut. I LOVE my little mister, he looks so handsome with his new style!

A Day at the Park...

We have a great park close to our house that we love to go to when the weather is nice. The kiddos love to be outside, especially Kyra. We are ALL excited for summer to come and stay!

Mister Miles...

Mister Miles loves loves loves to crawl under the kitchen table and use the chairs as his own personal jungle gym. It's pretty cute to watch him entertain himself for long periods of time, and smile and giggle while doing so. I can't believe in less than a month my little man is turning one, crazy!
