Linder Farms for Family Home Evening!!!

Yesterday for Family Home Evening Bryce, Kyra, and I went to Linder Farms pumpkin patch. We invited Ben and Lexie with their kiddos, and my mom and Brent to join us. When we first arrived we took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins. It took awhile to find a decent one because they had all been picked over the last couple of weeks. Kyra loved strolling around helping mom and dad find her own pumpkin. As far as the bigger pumpkins go, we decided to wait and go to Walmart later this week. Afterwards we took a hayride back to the main area to play and fun together. There was so much to do. The kids played in a huge corn box, we all sat by the humongous fire to keep warm, ate yummy treats, went on a train ride, went through kid friendly mazes, and looked at a variety of animals that included a camel. We had an absolute blast. We'll definitely go back next year.

Columbus Day

On Monday Bryce had the day off so we decided to go for a hike. We were trying to find something close and picked a trail called Hull's Gulch up in the Boise foothills. We initially thought that we were just going to do a simple 3 mile loop but once we got started it became apparent that we had misread the map. After a total of 7.2 miles we made it back to our car. We were surprised how good Kyra was. She loved all 7.2 miles of it and was happy all the way. We were well below the tree line so it was mostly just sage brush but we must have seen thousands upon thousands of Grasshoppers.

We would come across random outcroppings of rocks

All seven miles of the trail were covered in Grass hoppers...

If you turn the volume up you can hear all the noise they would make as you walked through them. Kyra enjoyed it.

Brent's Home!

Brent, Lindy's younger brother, returned home from his mission Wednesday, September 29th!!! He flew in at 11:30 at night so we had to wake Kyra up to take her to the airport. She started out pretty confused but got excited when we handed her some Maracas, a poncho, and a sombrero (we thought we would make her look festive since he was returning home from Mexico). She loved it. She has never met Brent before, but she was not shy at all. Lindy loved getting to see and hug him. She has been so proud of him and everything he has done.

Lindy's first 5k

Lindy and her sister Bethany ran a 5k on Saturday, September 25th 2010 at the Boise Womens Fitness Run. It was Lindy's first 5k and she did great, she may have even set a course record for females age 28 and 3 months pregnant.

Kyra and Abby (the dog) meet up with Lindy and Bethany at the finish line.

Kyra loved the fountain,

and liked the music even more! She just kept moving to the beat.

Kyra's Morning Bath

This morning we rushed out the door without giving Kyra a bath after breakfast. She had bananas, and by the time she was done eating she had one stuck to her forehead and plenty smushed in her hair. So we decided to give her a bath at Mimi's. She loved bathing in the sink...
